Gambling in Ohio Via the Backdoor
As a republican, yes, the little "r" republican, one of the functions, I believe, of government, is to promote virtue among its citizenry.
The libertarians in the conservative movement might disagree, but so be it. Gambling causes more trouble than it is worth. It ruins lives, destroys marriages, and diverts investment from more important enterprises.
Unfortunately, as the Keeler Political Report shows, gambling halls have made inroads into Ohio under the guise of "games of skill."
Let them try this in Hamilton County under the watchful eye of Sheriff Leis (of the Larry Flynt fame).
