No Vote Results in Hamilton County: Blame the Democrats
For those Ohioans who live in Hamilton County, you may be wondering why the rest of the state has reported the results of the election, but no precincts have reported from the Cincinnati area. Well, the answer is that the Democrats are in charge. Explains a lot.
While most Southwest Ohio counties had nearly all their votes counted by 10 p.m. , Hamilton County still had only absentee ballots -- and no precincts counted.
A lot of that has to do with the fact that Ted Strickland, a Democrat, won the governor's race last year.
In hundreds of precincts, there are new presiding judges - Democrats, rather than Republicans - in charge of stowing away the election equipment, and removing the memory cards from the voting tabulation machines at each precinct.
The presiding judge is the chief poll worker; he or she is from the party of the gubernatorial candidate who won that precinct in last year's election.
Hundreds went from Republican to Democratic in Hamilton County last year. The other three counties had fewer precincts switch. Read more....
